Jamie articled with a large national law firm in downtown Toronto where he worked on complex court matters and large-scale corporate/commercial transactions. He joined the firm after his call to the Ontario Bar in 2003 and has been a partner since 2012. Jamie has extensive experience in litigation matters involving civil, commercial and employment disputes as well as criminal law. Jamie regularly appears in the Superior Court of Justice and also deals with matters before administrative tribunals and in arbitration proceedings. Jamie is well-known as a savvy, hardworking and tactical litigator. He brings strong knowledge of the law and will proceed to trial when necessary to achieve the best result.
Jamie is a Standing Agent for the Attorney General of Canada and prosecutes federal offences – primarily drug offences – on behalf of the Public Prosecution Service of Canada. In addition to federal prosecutions he provides defence representation for clients facing charges under the Criminal Code and other legislation.
In addition to litigation and criminal matters Jamie devotes a large portion of his practice to real estate law. He is very knowledgeable and experienced in purchases, sales and financing matters and regularly acts for clients in relation to residential, commercial and agricultural transactions.
Jamie is a member of the Simcoe Lions Club and is active in the Simcoe community.
