Peter Karsten

Peter has roots in or around Jarvis, Ontario and originally graduated from McMaster University with both Bachelor of Arts and Honours Bachelor of Arts Degrees. After working in a diverse number of fields, including spending a year overseas teaching English, Peter obtained his law degree from the Faculty of Law at the University Manitoba. He was called to the Manitoba Bar in June 2010 and subsequently practiced with a large Winnipeg law firm in their litigation department.

From there, Peter returned home to Southern Ontario and was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2011. Peter became a partner of the firm as of January 1st, 2017. Peter primarily practices in the area of civil litigation, including personal injury, insurance defence and employment law. He has been appointed by the Attorney General (Canada) as a standing agent for the Department of Public Prosecutions and has appeared in the Superior Court of Justice and Court of Appeal levels in both Manitoba and Ontario.

In addition to his legal career, Peter has served on the Board of Directors for Brantford Christian School, as a member of the External Rights Committee for Community Living Access Support Services and has also co-taught Business Law at Redeemer University College.
